Overview & Reviews
The only noticeable changes are the elimination of chrome trim from the door handles and bumpers and the addition of a mini spare as standard equipment. Heated side mirrors are now optional and side windows receive the added safety of laminated glass. LX models lose standard features like a power passenger seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and auto-dimming rearview mirror -- but they can be readded by ordering the LX Premier Group.
- Rear-wheel-drive performance, room for six, comfortable ride, excellent crash test results.
- Large size makes it difficult to park and maneuver, dated interior styling.

Crowm Vic LX Sport - 2004 Ford Crown Victoria
By johnjo - March 3 - 10:00 amA joy to drive, powerful engine pulls away as smooth as silk. Comfortable, and I prefer styling to the Grand Marquis. Big big stylish car, definitely go for the sport version. Excellent value for money

Get a P71 - 2004 Ford Crown Victoria
By P71inVA - March 2 - 1:00 pmI have nothing but good things to say about my ownership experience with my black police interceptor. This car has good power, turns heads, rides like a Cadillac and has been very reliable. Of course, the police package has beefed up components but from other reviews all Crown Vics seem to be well built. You can find these cars on the used car market cheap, and if you find a well kept P71, get it!

My 11th Crown Vic in 19 Years - 2004 Ford Crown Victoria
By H P - December 15 - 3:03 pmAs a sales representative in Metro Detroit for over 20 years, the Crown Victoria has been perfect. Roomy, reliable, attractive with LX chrome, wheels and whitewalls. The Crown Victoria has never made too much of a "statement" to customers. This is fine product of the Ford Motor Company exudes the reliable American car driving experience. I hope Mr. Mulally and his team keep full-size rear wheel drive sedan products in the Ford lineup forever.

By James F R Hall - November 22 - 10:00 amIts one of the best cars I ever owned. I used to be an truck guy. But thought I would try an Crown Vic, since I had an 2003 Ranger, which my wife took over. The ride and power the car is will good. No race car but good. It may be the last new car I buy. But sure hope not.

Panthers rule! - 2004 Ford Crown Victoria
By Turbo301 - July 15 - 4:36 amThe current-generation Crown Victoria is perhaps a bit dated-looking, but its still sharp and still looks way better than "cutting edge" designs like the Chrysler 300. Trunk room and ride comfort are everything youd expect from a traditional big car (again, better in every way than the 300), and it couples that with reasonably good fuel economy and performance. The 4.6 pulls a lot harder than I thought it would, and even with a full load of people and cargo, its never short of passing power (something the old 5.0L cannot claim!).

Ford Crown Victoria - 2004 Ford Crown Victoria
By crown victoria - June 28 - 6:06 pmI personally like the Ford Crown Victoria. I have always said that a car that is used as taxis and police cars has to be built well. You know something? I was right! It handles very well, has a smooth ride, and is very quiet. For me the Ford Crown Vic Is an excellent car. A very dependable car.

The Best - 2004 Ford Crown Victoria
By hnk9452000 - April 21 - 2:00 amThe best part of the Ford Crown Victoria is the engine it has the perfomance of a mustang.
